Discover Oak Tree Golf Club, an 18-hole championship golf course in West Middlesex, PA. We are proud to be fully open to the public, and we enthusiastically welcome all golfers—from local regulars to traveling enthusiasts looking for a premier public course experience. Conveniently located just off I-80 along the Ohio–Pennsylvania border, we are a top-rated destination for players traveling from Boardman, OH, Beaver Falls, Wexford, and Cranberry Township, PA.

Originally designed by famed course architect Ed Ault, our scenic layout is built around four beautiful lakes that come into play on seven different holes. Known as one of the premier public golf courses in Mercer County and a proud feature of the Penn-Ohio Golf Trail, Oak Tree offers a definitive challenge for serious players with 60 large sand bunkers and large, undulated greens.

We are also a preferred, accessible choice for long-distance golf trips and multi-day getaways for players coming down from Buffalo, NY and Toronto, Canada. Don't let the challenge intimidate you—with multiple tee tiers, the course is exceptionally friendly to rookies and casual golfers. The memorable layout features stunning highlights, including a picturesque covered bridge on the 8th hole and our signature 18th hole: a 407-yard par 4 requiring a precise tee shot and a dramatic approach over a lake with a scenic fountain.

Hole #1

A tee shot down the left side of the fairway is optimal on the starting par four; which will lead to a mid to shot iron into a receptive green guarded by three bunkers.

The second is a reachable par five. Players must navigate a slight double dogleg and avoid a pair of greenside bunkers. A subpar score is very attainable.

The first of five par threes, the third has a large green that is protected by two greenside bunkers. A solid shot with a short to mid iron can lead to a score of par or better.

This uphill par four plays longer than the yardage suggests. A tee shot played to the left center prevents going through the fairway into the trees on the right. A mid iron approach will then be played to a green with some severity, that is protected by two front bunkers.

This beautiful downhill dogleg par four requires good shots from the start. After a tee shot finds part of the fairway, the correct approach distance must be calculated accurately as players must navigate a penalty area and play to a green with multiple slopes protected by four bunkers. Par is a very good score here.

A three shot hole for most players requires navigating the landmark oak tree in the right center of the fairway on the second shot. The uphill approach shot plays slightly longer and is played to a large receptive green.

This par three requires a precise shot to a green surrounded by three bunkers and is very deep from front to back with multiple undulations.

The covered bridge is the target on this downhill right to left par four. Players may his less than driver to avoid running through the fairway into the lake that separates the hole. A precise iron shot is necessary into this thin green that slopes from back to front and right to left. Many rounds have been sidetracked by this devilish design.

The front nine ends with this beautiful par three over a penalty area to a large green surrounded by three bunkers. Good club selection is required to avoid a potential three putt.

This beautiful but difficult par four must begin with a tee shot that splits a pair of fairway bunkers. Once achieved, the uphill approach shot plays longer than the yardage suggests to a green with two bunkers and plenty of slope. Par is a great score.

This short dogleg left par four has a narrow fairway with bunkers on each side. A good drive can leave a short approach to this deep green that has many subtle breaks.

A great par five, the twelfth requires a tee shot in the fairway, so that the second shot can carry the small creek that separates the hole. The second shot must also avoid the large oak tree that protects the left side. The approach to the green must be judged properly to avoid the three greenside bunkers and to stay near the hole as this large green has deceptive breaks. If played properly, this is a scoring opportunity.

This visually intimidating par four meanders through the trees from right to left. A solid tee shot is a must to carry the penalty area and avoid the left fairway bunker. Once accomplished, players are then faced with a demanding approach to a green protected by three bunkers and with many slopes. Par is a welcome score here.

This beautiful par three requires a solidly struck shot with the appropriate club to carry the lake between the tee and green. The green is generous in size and slopes primarily from back to front and right to left.

A true three shot par five, the fifteenth requires an accurate tee shot so to lead to an easier lay up to the end of the fairway. The third shot is played to a green that is some thirty feet below, protected by encroaching trees on the left, a creek in the front and a pair of bunkers. The green is long in depth and slopes from back to front. Players will gladly take par and move on.

This long uphill par four requires a well struck tee shot to reach the top of the hill and have view of the green on the approach shot. The green, which is very undulated, is a large target once again surrounded by three bunkers. This is arguably the most difficult par 4 on the course.

This difficult par three and play three to four clubs differently depending upon the wind and the hole location in this long and challenging designed green. Bunkers protect every area on the putting surface.

The round ends with Oak Tree’s signature hole. This stunning downhill par four is every bit as challenging as it is beautiful. A straight tee shot is a must so to avoid a pair of fairway bunkers. Players are then faced with an approach shot over a lake to a large green. Good club selection is a must so to avoid the water but not go over the back of the green that has a deceptive amount of slope. Many matches have been won or lost on this memorable Ed Ault designed hole.
